Wii for Sale

Nintendo continues to promote its balance board to keep Wii Fit for sale. Recently in July and August they had started a Wii Fit Family Challenge show in Nickelodeon, where families were encouraged to submit their details and prove that they are the fittest family. The show is now being telecast on Nick at Nite with the conclusion. The best three candidates will compete in an event in Orlando hosted by Olympic skater Kristi Yamaguchi. The event took place last Wednesday at the Nickelodeon Family Suites Hotel near Walt Disney World.

This event will be shown on Nick at Nite on October 9, 2008. Really, does it feel necessary for Nintendo to advertise campaigns like this? They don’t need to advertise so much to hardcore gamers to keep Wii Fit for sale. Even now non gamers are aware of the functioning and use of a Wii Fit. Otherwise we would have never faced a problem in getting our Wii Fit.

Moreover research says video games can actually make a teen a better person. In any case today every kid is aware of the latest technologies emerging, they know their advantages and drawbacks. Hence they don’t need awareness on it. Above all Wii Fit comes among the top selling games with Grand Theft Auto at number one, Super Smash Bros. Brawl at number two and Mario Kart Wii at number three. Thus to keep Wii Fit for sale it is not necessary for Nintendo to come out with such irrelevant promotional campaigns.
