Wii for Sale

This is the sensationalist headline that was propagated by some analysts recently. They looked at the current situation and somehow predicted the PS3 would start to outsell the Wii in 2008 and onward until 2011 where total PS3 sales will surpass Wii sales.

The current situation is that the Wii is simply kicking some butt right now and that isn't going to change for awhile. Analysts are usually wrong so we'll have to wait and see what happens. All we really know is that the Nintendo Wii is kicking some serious ass right now.

Here's your chance to give an amazingly fun gift these holidays, but it won't cost you a fortune. Nintendo recently allowed users to purchase Virtual Console games not for themselves, but for someone else. It's designed to take advantage of the addictive gift giving nature of humans. The present gets directly sent to the other person and it comes in a gift wrapped envelope

This is a great feature which is sure to sell even more Virtual Console games. The great is that the games are relatively cheap, but there is so much fun to be had. This is a great way to put a smile on someone's face without putting a huge dent in your wallet.

If you're living in America and you think you have it bad, think again because the folks over in the UK are facing a crazy shortage. A good way to judge a shortage is to see how many people buying from eBay and what the prices are going for. It turns out the prices are over $650 when converted into US dollars. The worst America as seen is about $500.

This means people are spending more on the Nintendo Wii than they would if they purchased a brand new top of the line Sony Playstation 3. That's incredible and also means that the Nintendo Wii is really different than the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.

It really seems like Nintendo Wii hit a grand slam, but they may be losing customers due to the shortage. Lets hope Nintendo gets their act together soon so everyone gets to enjoy the Nintendo Wii.

MSN's dating column recently published an article where they gathered a group of so called "experts" in the fields of psychology and gaming to basically judge and stereotype the owners of each. It concluded that the people who buy the Nintendo Wii are the fun guys.

This is opposed to the PS3 and XBOX 360 owners who are probably spending all their time in front of their TV until they pass out. Don't try to deny it! They also said that Wii owners are selfish about their passion and are good with money. Well... it is the cheapest console, but selfish about their passion? Hmmm. I'll have to think about that some more.

They did admit in the end that it was still a stereotype and wasn't true for all. Well, I guess that's nice. Sounds like a waste of money ot me.

New Nintendo Wii accessories are coming out Wii. It certaintly helps that Wii has become extremely popular similar to the ipod craze. One new accessory is the small retractable sensor bar. I'm guessing people are bringing their Wiis to other people's houses and it would be more convenient for a smaller one that retracts.

The device is made by Talismoon who also makes swappable Wii slot gates and ninja themed replacement shells. It costs $25 and takes up very little space as the sensors have become two tiny pieces instead of one big one. Definitely check this one out if you carry your Wii around a lot or hate the big sensor bar that comes with the Nintendo Wii.

Yeah you heard me. The Nintendo Wii is coming out with colored wrist straps that are funny. Well I shouldn't say Nintendo Wii. It's all those Chinese manufacturers trying to cash in on the Wii craze. Now I wonder how safe these fuzzy wrist straps are.

You know when you have a great product when 3rd party companies start making all sorts of strange accessories. Just look at the Apple Ipod. The strangest things are available for that thing. The same thing is happening to the Wii.

Personally, most of the stuff just gives me a good laugh. Someone is buying it though.

Nintendo just announcd that there will not be a price cut for the Nintendo Wii. This is quite understandable since Wii is selling like hotcakes and will have no problem selling. Wii is also well under the price of the XBOX 360 and the Sony PS3. Both of these other game consoles have cut prices like crazy.

Iwata states that Nintendo is focusing on meeting the booming demand and not thinking about price cuts.

Well, they're right. Most people are still trying to get the console for retail price!

There's a lot of controversy around the Nintendo Wii where people are saying that the Nintendo Wii is going backwards in terms of graphics. Systems like Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 are much more capable of intensive graphics. However, Will Wright thinks prettier graphics doesn't mean it's next gen.

He says that the Nintendo Wii is the only next generation console out of the three today. This is because it appeals to a much broader audience unlike the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 who still cater to the hardcore gamer market.

So maybe the graphics trend will be changed in the future.

Nintendo Wii consoles have been flying off shelves before you can even blink. However, we never really hear about the games that go along with the Nintendo Wii. Well here's your chance to know than your peers. A report at GAF revealed sales data about Wii games.

The reported revealed that the top Nintendo Wii game was Wii Play. This really isn't much of a surprise because it does come with a Wii remote. It sold almost 3 million copies around the world. Some of the other top selling games include Super Paper Mario, and Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree.

It listed Wii Sports in there at almost 12 million. However, it has only sold about 1 million in Japan. Obviously, the bundling with the console in US has contributed to that large number.
