So far, the DS console has sold more than 24 million units only in Japan, and the trend shows no sign of stopping. Sony also released a new portable game, the PSP 3000, which provides a high-resolution screen and a built-in microphone which allows users call their friends between games and movies.
EA recently announced that the NASCAR will make its debut on Wii in the form of NASCAR Kart Racing. 12 instantly available and 2 mystery unlockable real-life NASCAR drivers will take to the Kart circuit in highly stylized animated versions of themselves. An additional 10 fictional characters will also be available to choose from. Using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk or the Wii Racing Wheel, players can race on one of 24 different courses, each open to run from start to finish or vice versa.
EA is very much focusing on varied terrain with deserts, freeways, back roads, canyons, junkyards and areas around real-life tracks at Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Dover International Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway. May be we shall do with the online play via WiiConnect, which would have been ideal for this title to compete with Mario Kart Racing, though not really around.
Nintendo had created a tycoon with the release of the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985. The exciting Galaga, Tetris and Super Mario Brothers tantalized teens globally. And no one predicted a day when something would one-up Mario. But something did. In November 2006, Nintendo released its most ground-breaking gaming system yet - the Wii. The Nintendo Wii, unlike systems before it, markets interactive games that require physical activity.
The system has efficiently won over patrons. It was recently reported that the two-year sales of the Wii are expected to surpass those of the PlayStation 2, the video game console with the current best record. But despite the current worldwide Wii-mania, the system is destroying the public's perception of reality and, according to qualified doctors, physically abusing consumers as well.
When you first see this game, you will certainly take it to be boring, but yet there is enough fish, challenges and places to make it attractive. That said, I would rate it as chiefly a family game, a great way for kids and parents or grandparents to split some fun family time together. It's not too hard for kids maybe 5 or 6 and up, and not too childish for an adult to enjoy.
If you enjoy fishing, I think you'll get a kick out of this. The graphics are admirable as Wii games go and you don't get blocked fishing in one place on a pier somewhere. There are 40 different locations, in 7 regions of the world, Europe, Japan, South America, Africa, Australia and more. Picture deep sea trolling in Hawaii, or fishing in a fountain in Paris.
The data coming from the NPD Group is looked at by analysts and videogame journalists in order to see how consoles and videogames perform. Even if the data only tracks North America, the fact that this is the biggest market in the world means that trends are likely to be replicated all over the world.
And for December 2008, analysts say that the domination of the Nintendo Wii will be even greater. The console, which was until recently the lowest priced of the current gen line up and has a focus on family and casual titles, sold an impressive 2 million devices in November 2008, more than double the numbers of its closest rivals, the Xbox360 and the PlayStation 3..
The gaming retailer said profits of 」122m for the 50 weeks to January 10 were driven by strong hardware sales, an increasing number of female shoppers and the collapse of rival retailer Woolworths. Game Group saw like-for-like group sales increase 9.5pc over the year, with an estimated 39pc of its customers and one in two of its "reward card" members now women.
The company, which has a 30pc share of the video games market, said that UK owners of Sony Playstation 3 more than doubled to 1.9m, Microsoft Xbox owners grew 77pc to 3.2m and Nintendo Wii owners rose 145pc to 4.9m last year. Demand for hand-held gaming devices, including Playstation Portable and Nintendo DS, rose from 8.8m to 12m units across the UK market.
It is no secret that the Wii is selling in a rush so that both Sony and Microsoft are trying hard to redefine to keep their position in market. There was time when we hardly had Wii for sale at stores. All stores sold before we completed our breakfast and rushed to grab it. However things have changed slightly. The game console has become very successful in the market. One should try playing on the Wii it blows the mind of the user.
Analyst’s reports sys that Sony’s PS3 still has to bear the loss while Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is still trying to keep its position. However with the Wii for sale Nintendo is doing much better as it earns $6 with every Wii for sale. The Forbes report tells us the secret of Wii’s success is due to some most popular games exclusively available on the Wii. It is also proved that around 1.6 million units of Wii were sold in December 2008 alone.
The US and Canada are the first two countries where you can see maximum Wii for sale. Gradually Japan started to keep Wii for sale since December 2008. Nintendo has tried hard to expand their gaming audience to new players and is positioning as a console on which the whole family can have fun. The Wii has enjoyed positive reviews from many for its ease of use and the amount of fun a person experiences while playing. Everyone can tell you about the Nintendo Wii and its functions also the enjoyment that they get while playing. Thus if you check you will find that Nintendo Wii for sale is becoming more prevalent.
Nyko is introducing The Wand, what it calls as the most advanced Wii Remote till date. This is to trump the existing Nintendo Wii remote controller. Apart from the look of the Nyko Wand which is the same as a Wii Remote, it can output commands and even vibrate through the controller’s port at the bottom of the device.
Nyko uses the Trans-Port Technology in the Wand which allows compatible devices to take advantage of functionality. This lacks in the current Wii accessories. The Wand has a pistol-like grip allowing full force-feedback. The buttons of 1, 2, +, - can be used without the need of going on top of the remote. The Wand will be shipped in stores in April.
The Wii visuals of Monster Hunter G take us to Famitsu’s introduction to Kokoto village which is the main town location in the game. The visuals have a rough image of as expected from an unaltered PS2 game which works only with Classic Controllers.
The main town in the game features a farm which provides extra items to the players. This gives the players a chance to spend time on minigames and upgrades. There are shops which have weapons and shops for armors too in the town. Some shots in the game show possible armor configurations. The backdrop of the house contain the item box whoch can be used for storing the weapons and armors.
